Ghosts

Yesterday, T was convinced there was a ghost in the bathtub. He swore up and down that a ghost dropped the washrag that was floating next to him. I promptly reassured him that there is no such thing as ghosts. Of course KD did the same, right? Nope. KD, in all of his infinite wisdom, explained to T that there are "good" ghosts and "bad" ghosts. KD reassured T that this was probably a good ghost, that the dogs would know if it were a bad ghost, and since the dogs were not cowering in the corner T had nothing to worry about because KD was sure that the ghostly act T had witnessed had been performed by a good ghost. KD then left the bathroom, feeling that he had expertly diffused the situation.

There was only one problem with KD's grand plan--KD has now he has reaffirmed to our little boy that there are, in fact, such things as ghosts. And not only ghosts, but there are "bad" ghosts out there that T has to be wary of. Great. Who knows that that little mind will invent in the middle of the night. I can only hope that he will continue to be graced by the presence of good ghosts. Maybe its time to pull out that old Casper the Friendly Ghost video and put it to good use!

Good Ghost/ Bad Ghost isn't that the premise of religion?
